It's been a while-ok a LONG while since I posted here. I'm still couponing though I am past feeling the need to get every "good buy" just because it is there- even if it is free ( GASP!). I have come to the conclusion that if I don't need it it is costing me in time and clutter. I still do stockpile items within reason and share the bounty with my sister and a good friend.
One thing I do now too is use Deal of the Day sites especially for restaurants and Movie tickets- Groupon ,Tippr (You will get a $5 bonus for using the link for Tippr). When they have the weekly cinema deals of the day you can get movie tickets for $6 ea even with the fee for the ticketing service!

Save With Louise What I love about Louise is that she is a local Blogger in the Portland Ore area which means the prices are correct for here and not North Dakota. She posts for Safeway, Albertsons, Thriftway ,Walgreens and as well as various specials with coupon addresses. This week there were 10 posts total, usually it's less ( I'm letting you know this cuz I subscribe to some blogs and have their posts come into my inbox and if they are posting 15 a Day it clogs my inbox.The others I have come to a separate folder or anRSS reader such as "Google Reader")

Saving 4 My Family-Two Sister-in Laws that are Stay at Home Moms (SAHM) mostly, Local Portland area. They post for Albertsons, Safeway, Fred Meyer as well as their weekly menu ( some have links to the recipes) and one posts her financial goals and if she is meeting them or not. There were 11 posts this week. Coupon addresses are NOT included

It's Hip 2 Save- A Proud Military wife of a Marine and mother to 3 children. I believe they are stationed in North Carolina. She post lots of Free Samples, Special offers, Freebies, Walgreens,Target, RiteAid, WITH coupon Addresses. Please not that all prices are the same in Portland area and not all coupons or the same amount off will be in our inserts here. She probably posts about 15 posts A DAY .

NW Coupon Lady- A NW blogger from Tri-cities Washington. She posts for Winco! Albertsons, Various Feebies, $5 meals for a family of 4 w/ recipes and for a local store called Yokes.WITH coupon addresses. About 15 posts a week

Newsletter- Deborah's Coupons- Deborah McWatters [deborahscoupons@gmail.com]
Email her to subscribe. She is a local woman near Vancouver Washington. She sends out an email on Saturdays and Tuesdays. She posts for Albertsons, Safeway, Fred Myers. She does NOT post coupon addresses but a lot of the coupons she sites are from that week's coupons inserts. If you only have time to read one, i would subscribe to this one . You can use Coupon Tom coupon Database to find coupon insert addresses. There are other databases but this is the easiest to use.

Now is my time to give up. No not as in surrender but as in letting go. I love the illustration found HERE and how it applies to life and time management and living with Fibromyalgia. I only have so much energy so I have to put the big rocks in my jar first and I have to determine what ARE the big rocks - the most important things - as I only have room for a few. I find that this blog, as much as I love it, is taking up too much room in my jar so...... I'll post another post after this one listing all my favorite bloggers and their sites and may occasionally add another or two as i find them , but for this time in my life I say farewell (and thank you !) to all my 2,600 visitors, 218 blog posts, to finally turning up in a Google search of "Budget Bailout"as the 6th result and one big rock

First of all, I will be at our beach house in Lincoln City next weekend for the holiday so I won't be putting out a newsletter on Saturday. If you haven't signed up with shortcuts.com to have coupons added to your Safeway card, you should do so. I will give you an example of the savings I got today. I bought 2 packages of Betty Crocker cookie mixes at Safeway on their sale price of $1.69 each. I used two $.40 manufacture and double coupons for a cost of $.89 each for the cookies. Because I added the Betty Crocker cookie mix thru shortcuts.com on my Safeway card, I got another $.40 taken off for each cookie mix which made the cookie mix only $.49 each. I had actually forgot that I added the cookie mix until I checked my receipt. So by doing this, you can actually receive 2 manufacture coupons on the same item. You will receive an email from shortcuts.com telling you what coupons you have redeemed. Also keep checking the bottom of your Albertsons receipt. I got another $2.00 off my next shopping by taking a short phone survey. Also check your Safeway abd Albertsons receipt for your gas discount. I just used a $.60 gas discount from Albertson.

On page A6 of the Columbian are some Safeway coupons. There's a $10 off coupon when you spend $50.
There are 4 coupons with a $20 minimum on page A6. All of the following coupons are also in the Safeway ad except for the potatoes. Inside the ad are 6 additional coupons.

Albertsons
Propel water is only $.50. I have a stack of $.50 propel coupons that I ordered off ebay. I will be using most this week since the water will be free with these coupons and I don't even need a double.
Alpo Dog Food is $1.00. Use the $1.00/3 manufacture coupon and you get 3 cans for $2.00. Also use the Buy 2 cans and Get 1 Free for a final cost of $1.00 for 3 cans. Again since you are using 2 coupons, use a coupon friendly checker.

Save $2.00 on Dannon yogurt when you spend $10. Also use your manufacture coupons with this deal.
Example:
Danimal Crush Cups and Activia are $1.60 each when you buy 5. Use five $1.00 coupons and the yogurt is only $.60 each. Again I ordered these coupons off ebay so I will be getting a lot of this yogurt this week.

On the front page is another deal for $5.00 off your next shopping trip when you spend $20. Match up your coupons with this deal.

There are some great coupons on the back page. I am assuming we can also use our manufacture coupons with these.
Some Examples:
A.1. Steak Sauce 2 for $6.00. Use 2 of the $2.00 manufacture steak sauce coupons and the price is 2 for $2.00.
Kraft Mayo is 2 for $3.00. With the $2.00/2 manufacture coupon it is $1.00 for 2.
Oscar Mayer Meat Wieners 2 for $2.00. Use the $1.00/2 manufacture coupon and get 2 for $1.00. If we get doubles in the Sunday paper, these will be Free.

If you are like me, you have enough cereal, salad dressing, mayo and BBQ sauce to last a while. I'm excited about some of the deals at Safeway this week. They have some great high value coupons that will make shopping for fruit, veggies and meat a good deal. My Labor Day Weekend meal plan this week includes steak, potatoes and corn with watermelon for dessert... and best of all it will not break the bank or this weeks budget!

First off, there is a $10. off $50 coupon in the Tuesday Oregonian. See post below for details if you missed it.

Grab a value pack and then use the $5. off any Rancher's Reserve Beef Item coupon, limit 1, min. purchase of $20. This makes for a great steak deal! I individually wrap them and then freeze them in a freezer bag.

Willamette Valley Bi-Color, White or Yellow Corn are 3 for .99 cents.

Northwest Grown Whole Seedless Watermelon are $2.88 each (my kids are going to be thrilled when I bring this home!)

There are $221 in manufacture coupons in the paper today. In last week's paper there were 2 coupons for Reese's. One is for $.55 off any size candy and the other one is Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I used both of these at Albertsons and got 2 Free Bars. Some checkers may not want to use 2 coupons at once but I didn't have any trouble.

There are 3 doubles in the Albertson's flyer.

It's time to update you all on my SwagBucks experiment. Back at the end of February I read a blog post about something I'd never heard of called "SwagBucks". It said it was a search engine ( powered by Google) where you could win Swag bucks just for doing web searches which you could then redeem for prizes like gift cards. I thought- what have i got to lose-I'll try it and keep you all posted. So far since March I've earned 371! I do searches and then occasionally I get a message saying I've won 1 or 2 or very occasionally 5 Swag Bucks. My favorite prizes are Amazon gift Certificates. 45 will get you a $5 one so far I have enough to get $40 ! Granted ,I won't get rich, but an extra 40 for doing internet searches for 5 months that I already did anyway- not too bad.
